Between 8:30 a.m. and 9:25 a.m. on Sept. 14, Manhattan Beach Studios received three calls from an unknown man who expressed hatred toward America and Americans. The man said he was going to blow up the studios, located in the 1600 block of Rosecrans Avenue.
Manhattan Beach detectives determined one of the calls was placed from a telephone booth in Santa Monica. Surveillance video obtained from a nearby business showed a man on the telephone during the time one of the calls was made.
Authorities believe that man is responsible for making the threats. He is described as an adult man who is between 5 feet 9 inches and 6 feet 2 inches tall. He was wearing a watch on his right wrist, a pink polo style shirt, black shoes with pink laces and black pants.
His car is described as a black 2002-2006 BMW 325i sedan convertible with a black top.
Anyone with information is asked to call Sgt. Paul Ford at (310) 802-5123.
