Man breaks into Oxnard home, robs sleeping residents

OXNARD, Calif. (KABC) -- Ventura County sheriff's deputies are searching for a man who allegedly gained entry into a home in Oxnard through a locked rear sliding glass door and robbed the residents as they slept.

The incident was reported in the 3600 block of Ocean Drive shortly after midnight Sunday.

The victim's home surveillance system captured the suspect in action.

He was described as a man between 20 and 30 years old, standing between 5 feet 10 inches and 6 feet tall, 165 to 175 pounds with short dark hair, a mustache and a beard.

The suspect fled the scene with several items. Anyone with information on the suspect picture above was asked to contact Detective Jon R. Smith at (805) 662-6770.
