
WEST COVINA, Calif. (KABC) -- One person was killed in a fiery crash early Friday morning on the 10 Freeway in West Covina.
It happened just after 3:45 a.m. on the eastbound freeway and the Pacific Avenue off-ramp.
The victim was trapped inside the burning vehicle and later died, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The CHP said it was unsure if a collision occurred prior to the fire, as there was vehicle debris scattered along the freeway.
A SigAlert was issued for the closure of the Pacific Avenue off-ramp of the eastbound freeway for several hours while they investigated the cause of the fire.
The incident remains under investigation.
