2 injured after Tesla goes off 5 Freeway, crashes into Pacoima home

PACOIMA, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Two people were rescued after a Tesla crashed into a home in Pacoima overnight.

The driver went off the 5 Freeway exit ramp, crashing into the home on Branford Street, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department. The car landed in the home's living room around midnight Friday.

Video from the scene shows two people being loaded into ambulances, but the extent of their injuries was unclear. Authorities did not say whether one of the injured people was inside the home.

It's unclear what caused the driver of the Tesla to lose control, or if that person is facing any charges. An investigation is underway.
