3 women shot outside liquor store in Long Beach, police say

LONG BEACH, Calif. (KABC) -- An investigation is underway after three women were shot outside a liquor store in Long Beach overnight.

The shooting happened shortly before 11:30 p.m. Sunday on Pacific Coast Highway, according to the Long Beach Police Department.

All three women were found with gunshot wounds but it's unclear what led up to the gunfire. They were taken to the hospital, at least one in critical condition.

A description of a possible suspect was not available.
