3.2-magnitude earthquake rattles Compton area overnight, USGS says

COMPTON, Calif. (KABC) -- A 3.2-magnitude earthquake rattled the South Bay area of Los Angeles County overnight, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The quake, centered about 2 miles southeast of Compton, struck around 12:15 a.m. Sunday. It hit at a depth of nearly 8 miles.

Many people in the area reported feeling the shaking.

There were no reports of any injuries or damage.
