33-year-old man dies after climbing accident in Big Bear, leaving behind pregnant wife

BIG BEAR, Calif. (KABC) -- A 33-year-old San Diego man is dead after a tragic climbing accident in Big Bear.

Andy Ferrarone spent a week on life support before he died on July 15.

His wife, Nina, is eight weeks pregnant and now preparing to welcome their baby without him.

Friends have started a GoFundMe page to help with medical bills, rent and baby expenses.
