LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- "Mistresses" returns for season 3 on ABC... although minus one cast member. Alyssa Milano opted not to return to the show. But her co-stars - Jes Macallan, Yunjin Kim and Rochelle Aytes - are still stirring up all kinds of trouble.
The series jumps back in where they left things last year... and will answer questions involving everything from critical health issues, to illicit romances.
"It's going to be right back into it, and obviously we left on a fairly large crescendo, so we're dealing with the fallout from that," says Brett Tucker, who plays Harry, the ex-husband of Milano's character, Savannah, and new love interest of her sister Jes, played by Macallan. "And each character has their cliffhanger going as well. So it'll be much easier, I think, to you know, we won't have to fill in the gaps, basically we can just take off."
The actress filling the gap in the cast for this new season: actress Jennifer Esposito.
"There's a whole new mistress coming in, you know, a whole new fourth character to complete this circle. So that's gigantic, I think," says Macallan. "Everybody's got new people that are going to come in and dance and mess up the world all over again. You know, that's what we do best I think."
We'll also be seeing a little more of something costar Macallan loves... laughing!
"Season 3 they're even adding more comedy," the actress revealed. "Because as you compile the drama, you have to add more comedy. So I think we'll have a little more fun even than season 2, which was more fun than season 1."
Tucker says Macallan makes it hard to work, because she's too funny.
"... 10 takes in a row to get it right, "said Tucker.
"I paid him to say that," joked Macallan. "I paid him a lot of money."
"Mistresses" airs Thursdays at 9 p.m. PT on ABC7.
