Missing 3-year-old boy found after allegedly being abducted in SoCal; Amber Alert canceled

LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- A 3-year-old boy who was believed to have been abducted by his mother's ex-boyfriend in Southern California has been found, officials said.

It's unclear where Messiah Evans was found or who he was with. An Amber Alert was issued Tuesday morning after he had last been seen Monday near 66th Street and Normandie Avenue in Los Angeles, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The child was believed to be with 38-year-old Joshua Pendleton, who authorities identified as the ex-boyfriend of the boy's mother - not the child's biological father.

Messiah Evans was last seen Monday near 66th Street and Normandy Avenue in Los Angeles, according to the California Highway Patrol. He was wearing a burgundy onesie.

Joshua Pendleton, 38, has been identified as a suspect. The Los Angeles Police Department says he is not the child's biological father.

The CHP says Pendleton may be driving a white 2006 Saturn Vue with the California license plate 5SHE918.

The Amber Alert is in effect for Los Angeles, Riverside, San Bernardino, Orange, Ventura counties. If you see them or the car, call 911.
