ZHEJIANG, CHINA (KABC) -- In a harrowing incident captured on video, a dancing bear attacked a trainer at a wildlife park in China.

Footage of the confrontation appeared on social media Wednesday, four days after the attack occurred in the province of Zhejiang.

The black bear was one of two bears onstage at the time, during a show at the Hangzhou Safari Park, officials said. Only one bear if seen in the video.

In a statement, the park said the animals were scrambling for food from their tamers.

"Although the tamers and animals were not injured, we apologize for the poor experience caused to tourists due to the lack of on-site disposal capacity," the statement said. "In response to this incident, our school attached great importance to it and decided to immediately cancel the behavior of the black bear, and properly appease and observe the relevant animals to ensure their physical and mental health."

Park officials vowed to "seriously reflect, actively rectify, and strive to improve the management and emergency response level of the park."
