IRWINDALE, Calif. (KABC) -- A crash involving a big rig and RV forced the closure of some westbound lanes of the 210 Freeway in Irwindale Friday morning.
The incident was reported around 4:40 a.m. at Irwindale Avenue, according to the California Highway Patrol. Details about what led up to the crash were not available, but the agency said the large RV went off the roadway.
AIR7 was over the scene during the ensuing traffic backup. The guardrail along the freeway was knocked over and the RV could be seen down the embankment.
It's unclear if anybody was injured.
The right two lanes remained closed for several hours during the morning commute. Just before 11 a.m., the CHP said the #4 and Irwindale off-ramp would remain shut down for an additional three hours.
