Big rig crash spills cans of beer across 210 Freeway in Irwindale

IRWINDALE, Calif. (KABC) -- A crash involving two big rigs resulted in countless cans of beer and kegs being spilled across westbound lanes of the 210 Freeway in the Irwindale area Tuesday morning.

The crash was reported just before 3 a.m. at Vernon Avenue, according to the California Highway Patrol. All westbound lanes of the freeway were shut down at one point, but crews eventually moved the debris to the two right lanes.

Video from the scene shows cans of beer strewn across the lanes as crews rolled metal beer kegs off the freeway.

Details about what led up to the crash were not available. The lanes were expected to remain closed until around 6:30 a.m. but were not reopen until just after 10 a.m.
