Evacuation warnings issued after brush fire breaks out near Piru in Ventura County

PIRU, Calif. (KABC) -- A brush fire erupted Thursday afternoon near Piru in Ventura County and could grow to 500 acres, authorities said.

Fire departments from Ventura and Los Angeles counties have responded to the blaze, known as the Grande Fire.

Evacuation warnings are in effect for areas east of Lake Piru to the Los Angeles County line.
