Car crashes into donut shop in Costa Mesa

COSTA MESA, Calif. (KABC) -- One person was injured when a car crashed through a front window of a donut shop in Costa Mesa early Sunday morning.

The vehicle barreled through Dippity Donuts in the 1850 block of Newport Boulevard just after midnight, according to Costa Mesa police Sgt. David Casarez.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation. No arrests were made.

The donut shop remained opened despite the damage.
