PANORAMA CITY, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- A woman with a knife threatened a security guard at a hospital in Panorama City before barricading herself inside early Wednesday morning, police said.
The incident unfolded at Mission Community Hospital around 12:45 a.m., according to the Los Angeles Police Department. The reportedly 38-year-old woman was at the emergency room complaining of chest pain when she allegedly began making threats toward hospital staff.
Reports suggest that she pulled out a 4-inch blade and told the security guard that she was going to stab him. She then reportedly barricaded herself in a single occupancy bathroom inside the hospital.
