CHP finds body inside wrecked car at bottom of cliff in Angeles National Forest

ACTON, Calif. (KABC) -- A body was found inside a car that went about 200 feet down a cliff in the Angeles National Forest, authorities said Friday.

The California Highway Patrol responded to the area of Angeles Forest Highway and Aliso Canyon Road near Acton.

CHP officials say a person was found dead inside the vehicle and they may have been there for several days.

Aerial footage from AIR7 shows the damaged vehicle surrounded by some bushes off the side of the road.

Further details on the incident were not released. An investigation is ongoing.
