Ciara gives birth, welcomes baby Future Zahir Wilburn

LOS ANGELES -- Congrats to Ciara and fiance Future! The two have welcomed a son, Future Zahir Wilburn, who is their first child together.

The 28-year-old R&B singer revealed on her Instagram page on Tuesday, May 20 that gave birth a day earlier and also shared a photo of her newborn baby's arm. The boy weighed nine pounds and 10 ounces.

"Baby FUTURE," the 30-year-old rapper tweeted.

This is the first child for Ciara. Future Sr., whose real name is Nayvadius Wilburn, has three children from previous relationships. He and the singer announced their engagement in late October. Future had proposed with a 15-carat diamond ring as the two celebrated her birthday.

Ciara confirmed her pregnancy publicly on the show "The View" in January and showcased her baby bump at several celebrity events since.
