LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- A man is facing charges of assault with a deadly weapon on a federal agent.
The incident began when Homeland Security agents were arresting a woman in downtown Los Angeles on a federal warrant on Sunday. That's when, police say, a man hit an agent with a skateboard to help the woman who was being detained.
The federal agent was hurt but was not transported to the hospital, LAPD said. The woman was able to get away.
Police arrested the man with the skateboard. His name has not been released and no further details were immediately known.
