LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- A family gathered Sunday night for a vigil honoring a son and brother killed in a crash in Los Angeles.
Loved ones say a negligent driver made a U-turn in front of 28-year-old Joseph Loulakis, hitting and killing him while he was on his motorcycle.
It happened near the corner of Monterey Road and Kendall Avenue in the Monterey Hills area.
The victim's mother, Sandra Loulakis Sanchez, says she's looking for justice for her son.
"In this little area here, there's a lot of street racing, people are driving fast... I want to raise awareness - staring in this street and every other street I can touch," she said. "I think my son is the one putting the message in me. He wants me to save every other driver out there."
His family says they want to set up a foundation in his name.
