Fire department blames fireworks for Anaheim balcony blaze

ANAHEIM, Calif. (KABC) -- The fire department claimed illegal fireworks started a fire at a residential building Tuesday night.

The blaze started in the 2100 block of Brownwood in Anaheim. Firefighters said a small fire started on the balcony but did not spread inside. Officials found fireworks debris on that balcony and in the street.

Authorities checked on a small child in an adjoining apartment for possible smoke inhalation. No other injuries were reported.
