LAPD officers shoot, injure suspect wanted for assault with deadly weapon

DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Police shot and injured a person suspected of assault with a deadly weapon in downtown Los Angeles Thursday morning.

The incident happened around 4:30 a.m. near 7th Street and Ceres Avenue, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

AIR7 was over the scene where there were several patrol vehicles around a parked RV.

Details about what led up to the shooting were limited, but the suspect was hit and taken to the hospital in unknown condition.

No officers were hurt.
