ARCADIA, Calif. (KABC) -- A jewelry store in Arcadia was left damaged after it was ransacked in an overnight burglary.
A gaping hole was left in the ceiling at L&Z Jewelry. Now, the search is on to find the people responsible.
As for the owners, they told Eyewitness News they're trying to figure out how to move forward and get any help that they can.
"The morning when I opened the door, I could not believe everything was gone," said owner Pi Pi.
The owners said the break-in happened on Saturday.
Video from inside the shop shows nearly every case and display empty. All of their valuable pieces of gold and diamonds were swiped.
Owners Feihong and Pi Pi believe the crook somehow broke in through the roof of their building. A wall is also badly damaged near a safe.
The burglar snatched everything inside, and the perpetrator also disabled the store's internet.
"They are really professional. After they got in this room, they break the alarm system," Feihong said.
The owners say they plan to keep the store open to sell costume jewelry.
While police investigate the crime, the owners now have to figure out how they'll survive and how they'll refund customers who made payments on jewelry that was stolen by the thief.
"I just want to ask them, 'Why did you do that?' We're working so hard. It's easy to take everything from us," Pi Pi said.
The owners said they want other businesses to be aware of what happened to them so they can take precautions.
