Man accused of assaulting police officer taken into custody after LA chase

LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Several Los Angeles police officers were injured during a chase involving a man who allegedly assaulted an officer.

The man was driving erratically along streets in South Los Angeles Saturday night and allegedly used his white truck to ram or back into LAPD vehicles.

Officers were eventually able to stop him with a PIT maneuver near downtown L.A. and he was taken into custody.

Three injured officers were taken to the hospital but details about their conditions were not available.
