Married couple dead in Porter Ranch murder-suicide

PORTER RANCH, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- A man and woman are dead following a shooting at a home in Porter Ranch overnight.

According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the victims' son discovered his parents suffering from gunshot wounds in the home Monday night.

Officers responded to the home near Como and Modena lanes around 9:20 p.m. Investigators say it appears to be a murder-suicide, and no suspects are being sought.

The deceased were described as a married couple - 55-year-old woman and a 55-year-old man.

Meanwhile, a neighbor said the family who lived in the home was always friendly.

"I am shocked because that family was a very close family... They are very nice people, very nice people."
