13-year-old boy shot in the head in Dunkin' Donuts parking lot in New York, police say

CAMBRIA HEIGHTS, Queens -- A 13-year-old boy was shot in the head in Queens on Monday morning.

It happened in the parking lot of a Dunkin' Donuts on Linden Boulevard in Cambria Heights around 8:21 a.m.

He was taken to Cohen Children's Medical Center in critical condition, police said.

The suspect ran away from the scene.

He is described as a man with an afro wearing a white hoodie and white sneakers and a backpack with the word "Jaws" on it, police said.
