POMONA, Calif. (KABC) -- Law enforcement activity on the 10 Freeway in Pomona brought traffic to a grinding halt on Wednesday evening.
All lanes of the 10 Freeway near SR-57 were closed due to police activity at the overpass, according to California Highway Patrol. The Sigalert was first issued shortly after 3 p.m.
The closure caused a five- to seven-mile delay that stretched all the way to Claremont.
The eastbound lanes later reopened, but the westbound lanes remained blocked due to a traffic hazard, according to CHP. Traffic was being detoured to the northbound side of SR-57.
All lanes of the 10 Freeway were fully reopened by about 4:30 p.m., and the Sigalert was canceled.
