Singer Chiquis Rivera buys groceries for customers at a Vallarta Supermarket in Van Nuys

VAN NUYS, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Chiquis Rivera, the Latin Grammy-winning singer and daughter of the late Mexican-American star Jenni Rivera, served up a good deed at a local grocery store.

The 40-year-old bought groceries for several people at a Vallarta Supermarket in Van Nuys last week.

One of the shoppers shared video with Eyewitness News, adding that she was left in disbelief with the generous offer.

The video shows the star bagging groceries, telling customers, "It's your turn today."
