Singer-songwriter Joni Mitchell hospitalized in Los Angeles

LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Legendary singer-songwriter Joni Mitchell was hospitalized in Los Angeles Tuesday, according to a statement posted to her official Twitter account and website.

Mitchell was allegedly found unconscious in her home, but woke up during her ambulance ride to the hospital. Further details were not immediately released.

In 2014, Mitchell released a career-spanning four-disc box set and appeared at Clive Davis' annual pre-Grammy party in February.

Mitchell has received eight Grammy Awards, including a lifetime achievement award in 2002. She was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1997.
