Revive Restore Renew Back to School Event

Pasadena City Hall is hosting the Revive Restore Renew Back to School backpack give away where you can come together to celebrate fresh starts for school and family fun.

7th annual IBTU Back 2 School
Venice Beach Boardwalk- Los Angeles
Saturday, August 15, 2026, 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.

Head to the Venice Beach Boardwalk for free backpacks, school supplies, diapers, food, music, and community resources for families at Venice Beach!

Last year they served 2,997 families at Venice Beach. This year they're going bigger with free diapers, health & dental screenings, youth performers, skate activation & games, and raffles & giveaways.

Gear up for the new school year with all the essentials you need. Swing by, grab your free supplies, meet great people, and get ready to kick off school in style.

Kids must be present to get a backpack. There will also be free face painting for kids!

Inland Empire (Riverside/San Bernardino counties)

Family Support Resource Fair and Backpack Giveaway
RivCoDCSS Riverside Branch
Saturday, August 9, 2026, 8 a.m. - 12 p.m.

The Riverside County Department of Child Support Services (RivCoDCSS) will host a Back-to-School Giveaway on Saturday, Aug. 9, from 8 a.m. to noon at 2081 Iowa Ave. in Riverside, providing free backpacks with school supplies for children ages 3 to 17.

Free haircuts will also be available, with all giveaways offered on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last. Families are encouraged to register in advance.

Orange County

OC Veterans and Family Back-to-School Event
Cottonwood Church, 4505 Katella Ave, Los Alamitos
Saturday, August 8, 2026, 10 a.m. - 1 p.m.

Veteran and military families are coming together on Saturday, Aug. 8 for a morning of food, music, games, activities, and a free backpack giveaway for children ages 4-18. Children must be present to receive a backpack, and supplies will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.
