Hourslong barricade ends in Chatsworth after suspect fires shots while inside home, authorities say

A suspect fired shots while barricaded inside a home in Chatsworth, which drew a large law enforcement presence Monday morning.

CHATSWORTH, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- An hourslong barricade involving an armed suspect at a home in Chatsworth came to an end early Monday afternoon, authorities said.

Ventura County sheriff's deputies responded to a domestic violence call on Thompson Avenue around 2 a.m. Monday.

The suspect fired shots while barricaded inside the home, which drew a large law enforcement presence.

It's unclear if anybody was struck by the gunfire, or exactly how many people were inside the home.

AIR7 was over the scene as authorities used a drone to surveil the property. Additional details about the suspect were not available.

The Los Angeles Police Department was on scene assisting deputies.
