
PARAMOUNT, Calif. (KABC) -- Los Angeles County sheriff's deputies shot a man allegedly armed with a gun as a child was nearby, authorities said.
The shooting happened just before 10 p.m. Thursday in the 8000 block of Alhambra Avenue in Paramount.
Deputies arrived to the scene after a caller reported her boyfriend was outside armed with a gun. It's unclear what led to the shooting, but sheriff's officials said a minor was near the suspect when gunfire erupted.
Paramedics transported the wounded suspect to a hospital in unknown condition.
It's unclear if the child near the shooting had any relationship with the suspect, but the child wasn't hurt. No other injuries were reported.
