Madison Weil
Madison Weil joined the ABC7 Eyewitness News team in Los Angeles in September 2025 and is thrilled to be reporting in the communities she has long called home.

A Southern California native, she is a 4x Emmy Award-winning journalist with degrees in Global Studies and Anthropology from UCLA and a master's degree in Journalism from USC.

Madison began her on-air career at KESQ in Palm Springs, where she gained invaluable experience covering breaking news, wildfires, immigration, homelessness, and enterprise stories focused on community impact. There, she earned an Emmy Award for an MMJ report documenting the perilous journey of asylum seekers through the Coachella Valley during the pandemic.

She then spent three years in sunny San Diego reporting for NBC7 and ABC 10News where she consistently covered several international stories: the local impact of Russia's Invasion of Ukraine, migrant camps along the US-Mexico border, and the South Bay sewage crisis.

Madison has a passion for breaking news, human interest, and social justice reporting. She believes storytelling plays a critical role in strengthening communities and is proud to continue her journalism career at ABC7.

In her free time, Madison enjoys listening to live music, going to the beach, taking workout classes at Barry's Bootcamp, and spending time with family and friends.
