Vigil held for missing Hemet teen after partial remains found in field

SALTON CITY, Calif. (KABC) -- Family members and friends gathered on Sunday to remember a 17-year-old girl whose remains were found after she was reported missing in Hemet.

T'Neya Tovar disappeared after leaving a group foster home. A vigil was held in Salton City outside the home of her accused killer, Abraham Feinbloom.

A man has been charged in the murder of a 17-year-old Hemet girl whose partial remains were found in a field two months ago.

Tovar was last seen in December after a friend dropped her off at the residence, according to family members. On Dec. 21, investigators discovered a dismembered leg in a nearby field.

It wasn't until earlier this month that DNA testing confirmed the remains belonged to the teen. Investigators have alleged that bullet fragments were recovered from the remains, leading them to believe she'd been shot to death.

"The one thing I remember about T'Neya the most is that she had the most beautiful, bubbly, upbeat personality," her uncle Randall Tovar-Pratt said. "She had energy through the roof. I'm energetic, and she gave me a run for my money."

Tovar's family plans to attend Feinbloom's court hearing on Monday.
