WEST HOLLYWOOD, Calif. (KABC) -- The theft of a beloved neighborhood cat was caught on camera in West Hollywood. The pet's family is now hopeful someone will recognize the man who took him.
Neighbors shared surveillance video of Floki -- a 6-year-old tabby, Savannah/Highlander mix who neighbors say is very friendly and lives with his owner in the neighborhood.
Neighbors say the surveillance video shows a food delivery driver engaging with Floki before grabbing the cat, putting him in the trunk of his Prius and driving away.
It happened on Saturday, Sept. 27, along Shoreham Drive, just off Sunset Boulevard.

Floki is microchipped, and his family is desperate to get him home.
Despite having surveillance video of the incident, neighbors have been unable to figure out who received the food delivery before Floki was taken. Because of this, they have been unable to get the driver's information from the food delivery app.
They are also unable to make out the license plate in the surveillance video, so they are hoping someone will recognize the man who took Floki and reach out.
It's unknown what the driver's motivations were, or if he possibly thought Floki was a stray.
A $1,000 reward is being offered for Floki's safe return. Anyone who knows where he is is encouraged to call Emir Uckardes at 310-525-4308.
A report has been filed with the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department's West Hollywood Sheriff's Station.
