Westchester Del Rey softball is headed to the Little League Softball World Series!

WESTCHESTER, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Westchester Del Rey softball is headed to the Little League Softball World Series!

The girls have been playing together since last fall, but no win was bigger than Friday night's.

They scored 11 runs in the last inning to beat Tucson 12 to 2, booking their ticket to Greenville, North Carolina.

"On the last play it was really inspiring to me how Gabby struck out the last girl and we all came together in a pitcher's circle. We all started jumping up. I couldn't believe it. It felt like a dream," player Audrey Vogler said.

"Just knowing that people support us in what we're doing, it just makes you want to do more. It makes you want to push harder to impress other people," player Kinsley Spencer said.

The team continues their journey in their first game in North Carolina next Monday. Good luck!
