

VAN NUYS, LOS ANGELES (CNS) -- A woman in her 20s was shot by a man in his 50s in Van Nuys Saturday and the suspect remains at large, authorities said.
Officers were dispatched at 12:13 a.m. Saturday to a report of a shooting in the 8100 block of Langdon Avenue, near Roscoe Boulevard and the San Diego (405) Freeway, according to the Los Angeles Police Department. Paramedics rushed the woman to a hospital, where she had stable vital signs.
The woman had been in argument with a man who produced a firearm and fired several shots at her, police said.
An LAPD spokesperson could not confirm whether the shooter was the victim's roommate.
