Wrong-way crash shuts down Vincent Thomas Bridge; woman arrested

SAN PEDRO, Calif. (KABC) -- A woman was arrested overnight after she drove the wrong way on the Vincent Thomas Bridge and crashed into another vehicle, authorities said.

The crash happened around midnight, prompting a complete shutdown of the westbound lanes. The woman was taken into custody at the scene.

Video obtained by Eyewitness News shows a bottle of Tito's vodka inside the vehicle she was driving, but it's unclear if the woman was driving under the influence.

A CHP officer was also seen holding a small plastic bag containing unknown materials.

One person was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

The incident remains under investigation.
