LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- For the first time in nearly three months, the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels in Los Angeles welcomed back the faithful for Mass Sunday morning.

Sunday's Mass with Archbishop Jose Gomez began at 10 a.m. with new guidelines.
Attendance was limited to the first 100 people to show up. The cathedral hit capacity 20 minutes before mass began.
Parishioner George Amaru couldn't hide the relief, and described being able to return the best moment in his life.
Everyone who enters needs to wear a mask and physical distancing is required.
Masses will continue to be live streamed on the church's Facebook page.
About two weeks ago, L.A. County loosened it's safer at home restrictions, but services still require to only reach 25% of building capacity or 100 people, whichever is lower.
All Catholic churches had to submit a plan to their regional bishop for approval detailing how they'd distance their own parishioners.
