SANTA MONICA, Calif. (KABC) -- Santa Monica police are checking surveillance video to find whoever slashed dozens of tires over the weekend in the Ocean Park area.

Authorities say at least 82 tires were slashed. One victim, whose rental car was parked on Hollister Avenue, says officials told him every vehicle on the street had been vandalized.

No one has been arrested yet. The suspect was described as a male white, 18 to 24 years old, last seen wearing a dark hoodie sweatshirt. Police say the suspect may be a transient.

Anyone with information is urged to call the Santa Monica Police Department at (310) 458-8491.
