Perseid meteor shower to peak in sky overnight

One of the most prolific meteor showers will grace the sky tonight as people looking up could be in store for quite a show.

According to astronomers, the annual Perseid shower will peak overnight with about 70 meteors visible per hour.

The best time to spot the shower will be in the early hours before dawn, although the Perseids are expected to visible for several nights afterward as well.
