The pursuit began shortly after 4:30 p.m. and lasted only about 15 seconds before the driver of a stolen vehicle slammed into a civilian's vehicle at Clark Avenue and South Street, a sheriff's spokesperson said.
Remarkably, three people suffered only minor injuries in the collision. They were treated by Los Angeles County firefighter-paramedics; at least one was transported to a hospital.
Two suspects were taken into custody after the incident, authorities said. It was unclear if they were among the injured.
