South El Monte hit-run: 1 killed, driver at large

SOUTH EL MONTE, Calif. (KABC) -- The search continued Sunday for a driver involved in a hit-and-run crash that killed a man trying to cross the street in South El Monte.

The man in his late 40s was crossing Rosemead Boulevard and Fern Street at about 10:30 p.m. Saturday.

It was unclear if he was in the crosswalk when the collision occurred, Temple City sheriff's deputies said.

No suspect vehicle description was available.
