Dennis Rodman has hit-and-run charges recommended against him by CHP

SANTA ANA, Calif. (KABC) -- California Highway Patrol said it recommended felony hit-and-run charges be brought against Dennis Rodman after he was involved in Santa Ana crash on July 20.

Authorities said the NBA Hall of Famer was driving the wrong way down the 5 Freeway at about 12:30 a.m. and forced a BMW to swerve into the median to avoid crashing into his Range Rover.

After the BMW crashed, CHP said Rodman drove back to their location and had a brief conversation with driver and the passenger before driving off.

According to CHP, Rodman did not exchange information with the people in the BMW.

CHP said it recommended charges of felony hit and run, and driving the wrong way to the Orange County District Attorney's Office.
