Seattle Sounders top Chivas USA on two goals from Obafemi Martins

CARSON, Calif. -- Obafemi Martins and Andy Rose each scored two first-half goals to lead the Seattle Sounders to a 4-2 victory over Chivas USA on Wednesday night.

Seattle (16-7-3) won its third consecutive game to remain atop the Western Conference, while Chivas USA (6-14-6) had its winless streak reach eight matches.

Martins started the scoring for Seattle. He cleaned up Brad Evans' corner kick in the 11th minute and added a simple goal five minutes later.

Seattle made it 3-0 when Rose redirected Evans' free kick in the 38th minute. The duo combined on another free kick four minutes later for Evans' third assist of the first half.

Marco Delgado ended Chivas USA's six-game scoreless streak. He elevated over a defender to head home a goal in the 51st minute. Ryan Finley scored on a penalty kick in the 60th minute.
