STOCKTON, Calif. -- Three people were killed and four others were hospitalized following a drive-by shooting in Stockton.
The incident happened shortly after 8 p.m. Tuesday at a small grocery store on Madison and Park streets, which is an area police say is known for gang activity.
Stockton police say one person was killed at the store and another two died at a hospital. Authorities said two of the victims were women and the third was a man. Their identities have not been released, but police said they were in t heir late-teens or young adults.
Investigators are not sure whether there were multiple shooters, but officers aid they found a lot of shell casings at the scene.
The four injured victims were expected to survive, said police.
Investigators are talking to witnesses. No arrests have been made.
