Milo Yiannopoulos, far-right British commentator, detained by ICE

The Department of Homeland Security did not immediately say why he was detained.

Far-right British political commentator Milo Yiannopoulos was detained by Immigration and Customs Enforcement on Friday, according to an ICE detention database.

Yiannopoulos was listed as a citizen of the United Kingdom and "in ICE custody" according to the database. It did not say where he was detained. 

The Department of Homeland Security has not responded to ABC News' request for comment about his detainment.
