NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. (KABC) -- You might not normally worry about snakes in the sand when you hit the beach this summer, but you might want to keep an eye out!
Video shows a rattlesnake slithering through the sand at Crystal Cove in Newport Beach.
"I get out of the water, and then I see the rattlesnake. It had come from the water, and I had felt something tickle my big toe. And I'm not saying that it's this pervert. But one could assume. You know, it was huge," said stand-up comedian and TV host Nicky Paris. "It crawled right out of the water. Right all the way past the beach, in between my sandals, on the beach. I literally was watching it. And it just went right back up into the hill."
He shared a video of the rattlesnake on social media last Thursday.
Fortunately, the snake did not bite Paris.
He says he can't warn people enough to pay attention and be aware of possible snakes on the beach.
