LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Rap producer Marion "Suge" Knight and comedian Micah "Katt" Williams were arrested Wednesday on suspicion of stealing a camera from a female photographer, the L.A. County District Attorney's Office said. They were each charged with one count of second-degree robbery.
The incident allegedly occurred outside a studio in Beverly Hills on September 5. The camera was allegedly stolen from an independent celebrity photographer, identified as Leslie Redden.
Williams was arrested in Inglewood Wednesday morning after arriving in court for arraignment in a separate assault case, the D.A.'s Office said. Knight was arrested Wednesday in Las Vegas.
The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department said Wednesday that Beverly Hills Police advised that a felony warrant was issued for Suge Knight for robbery.
Detectives and agents from the FBI, Las Vegas Police and Henderson Police located Knight at a property in the area of Koval Lane and Harmon Avenue. Knight was arrested without incident. He was booked at the Clark County Detention Center on a fugitive warrant and a driving on a suspended license warrant.
Prosecutors plan to ask for $1 million bail for Knight and $75,000 bail for Williams, according to the DA's Office.
If convicted, Knight, who has a prior conviction for assault with a deadly weapon, faces up to 30 years to life in state prison. Williams faces up to seven years in custody.
The case remains under investigation by the Beverly Hills Police Department.
