MIDLAND, Texas -- A bomb squad in Midland, Texas disposed of roughly 20,000 pounds of fireworks by blowing them up.
The fireworks were seized by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives over a three-day period.
Authorities say they detonated the explosives during the day because it wasn't meant to be a public show. The fireworks were not allowed to be donated because a court ordered them destroyed.
No details were released regarding who had the fireworks before they were confiscated.
