Landslide shuts down road in Newport Beach

NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. (KABC) -- A landslide caused by a broken water main shut down all lanes of Bayside Drive in Newport Beach on Tuesday.

Bayside Drive was closed between Jamboree Road and El Paseo Street until further notice, the Newport Beach Police Department said.

A broken water main triggered the landslide, causing debris to flow into the roadway, police said.

There were no reports of damage or injuries. Authorities said the closure may last until noon.
